Senior Python Developer

We are seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and detailed oriented Python Developer to work with a small development team to create applications for employee and customer use. You will develop web applications for various company functions including sales workflow and customer management service administration. You will be required to integrate customer interfaces with external systems using APIs gathering data from devices.

Regular tasks include

• designing solutions for new features and applications
• developing new features, bug fixes, or improvements of our applications
• reviewing other developers work to ensure quality
• providing guidance to other developers
• working through development ideas or problems with other developers

You will be working with

• A small team of web developers with a mix of experience and backgrounds. We work closely by sharing ideas or looking at problems together.
• You will also be working with the people who want new features or applications. This could be a department head, the CEO, or an end-user of the application.
• You may work directly with the stakeholders to gather requirements for new features or improvements.

Requirements

At least three years of experience in the following areas:

• excellent knowledge of Python
• object-oriented programming techniques
• experience in full stack web application development
• HTML, CSS, Javascript (including AJAX)
• SQL (specifically with PostgreSQL)
• comfortable working with Linux

Preferred candidates will also have experience in:

• PostgreSQL
• Pylons / Pyramid framework
• jQuery
